I never really considered getting a 60, just because I've owned a 1k for years. But this guy is selling an original MPC 60 in good condition for $400... Seems like a good deal. Should I scoop it up? Or is this pretty much the going price these days?

Yeah... that's kind of what I was worried about. But at the same time, perhaps you've got a point... maybe I WOULD benefit by having a really limited amount of sampling time.

Use it for it's sequencing ability and make drum patterns.

I agree...I seen a MPC 60 for the L-O myself...I want to pick one of those joints up too just for the Roger Linn sequencer, especially coming off the 3000.

you will gravely limit your sample choices and duration.........maybe a good thing though

Or he could add SCSI, who knows maybe it already has SCSI.
Most people selling 60's these days don't have a clue as to the OS or installed options.
As far as limiting your sampling options 26 sec is plenty of sample time.

Thats expensive, he would have to take it to Forat if he wanted it done right. But he is in the LA area so that wouldnt be a problem...
