Hi,

I recently decided to stop using my friends buggy MPC2000 [Still with a floppy drive] and move to a MPD32 as I am fairly familiar with Midi-Controllers. HOWEVER, I have since found that setting up a drum machine midi controller is a completly different thing!

I have the manual but it seems to be aimed more towards hardware pro's so I am finding it hard to understand.

The first issue I wanna ask about and hopefully fix has to do with the controller map/key note changing. Basically I am using the MPD32 with Cubase and Battery. I loaded up battery and set it up with 64 pads worth of sounds. I then manually changed the note input from the pads [which took a while] to correspond with the battery set up.

However, even after saving the controller map and kit when I turn on my MPD and load battery its back to playing random notes. Is there a way I can save the note changes on the MPD itself??

Appreciate any help,

Shakey

that's weird I thought pad one starts with root note like C#3 and goes on D,E,F,G...did you buy it brand new ? if not might gotta try resetting to factory settings and re-creating your templates.

Yeah I bought it brand new. The problem I have is that a few keys on the MPD32 play the same key so I cant give them specific sounds. However, when I change the note input manually on the MPD it has no save feature so once it switches off I have to do it all over again.

Any idea if there is a save feature?
