Ok, I want to store my samples onto disc cos using 10 floppy's is no joke right, but I also want to record onto disc my final mix, do I need a CD-R or CD Burner or is there no difference what so ever? If anyone can recommend a certain product I'd be very grateful... :D

By getting a hard drive will that also mean I can record songs or is another external recording device needed? I'd like just to have one unit that can do all this....

No harddisks are just for storing samples and sequences. You will need an extra recorder or pc to record the audio of your songs.

If you have the cash and you like an all in one box have a look at roland mv-8000 you might like it. But if you get one don't come posting here about how it being better than an mpc .
