lpk25/mpc100/usb midi

hey guys. does the usb port on the 1000 handle midi info, or is it for file transfer only? would i be able to use the usb port on the 1000 to recieve midi info coming from the lpk25?

if not, is there some sort of adapter that could connect usb midi out of lpk to the standard midi in of the 1000?

Im assuming the lpk draws power from the usb port, so you will also have to get a power supply if you manage to find usb to midi adapter...I know midi to usb for computers is available not sure if its the same other way around

damn you're right. and it doesn't look like there is an alternative way to power it besides the usb. bummer!

The only way to connect a USB-only MIDI controllers like the LPK25 with a traditional MIDI interface (without using a computer) is via the Kenton MIDI USB Host:

It's first of it's kind, but imho too expensive to use it only for the LPK25.
