Hey guys
I'm new on the forum, hello :)

I was hoping someone could help me with the problems I'm having with the akai lpk25 I just bought.
I'm learning how to make music, and I was having trouble creating melodies and basslines using just the mouse, so I figured it would be much easier to buy a small keyboard and live record it on the software. I'm currently using fl studio but I'm thinking of learning how to use ableton instead (people tell me that its much better). Anyway, i'm having trouble making the lp25 work either in fl studio or in ableton. Anyone can help me out? or is there any website with some kind of a tutorial? i've been looking but cannot find anything regarding this issue. I pretty much just want to make the keyboard easy to use to make simple synth melodies and basslines to go along with the guitar and vocals i record myself.
Any kind of help is appreciated :)

Thanks!

If its a usb keyboard ,ableton should pick it up straight away ,i had the same one i think when i was hospital and it sync straight away.

a yellow dot should light in the right hand corner evertime you press a key.

this is for ableton ,never liked FL do i suggest go with ableton as it way more advanced and user friendly.

If u have a Midi keybord......go to prefrences ,select Midi and choose your keyboard in the list

then hiight light the first two boxes (outta 3) this should work fine

midi settings menu, in the midi input select the lpk25 from the frame.. right under that is a tick box saying "enable" so tick that box too.

that was for fl studio...
