mpd24 + ableton live 8

I am just starting out using an Akai MPD24 with ableton live to make beats, but am confused on assigning effects to the knobs and pads. How do I do this?

right click the right mouse button then move whatever knob you wish to use

this works peachy on NI massive and all the VST's when i make basslines and sweeps so it should work on whatever your using

you have to click the boxes in the midi set up though and i think the third one sync you leave blank

my midi keyboard the SL 25 just connected straight away and everything is assigned with automap

its in your ableton live manual..under midi learn function...ever bother looking inside ?
