Well you posted this, so you're already on the internet, a fine place to find samples. :)

Seriously though, you're probably just starting out, and aren't sure where to begin.

Most sample companies have small .zip packages you can download to demo their full libraries, a few of these would be a nice start. (Big Fish, LoopMasters, FatLoud amongst others) Music Radar offers free, relatively large (300+ MB) .zip packages of loops and hits culled from Computer/Future Music UK's cover DVD's. They have different themes, and the sound are actually quite good.

The owner of this site runs MPC Samples, and I believe they have some small demos you can DL. His full sets are worth the money if you don't want or have time to dig your own drums. The sounds are already put into MPC .pgm's, which might appeal to you.

Your 500 is a sampler after all, so you could hook up anything (phono, CD, TV, etc.) to it and record something right into it. Chopping on the 500 is pretty old school (tiny LCD), so you might want to do your sample editing on your computer.

Also look in the 'Crate Diggers' and 'Production Techniques' forums for download links.
