ok than on the left side of the screen when you select which track you are wanting to record on a "menu" so to speak is attached to that channel. if you look closely it says "in" and under it says "out" make sure the corresponding channel from the vst connections menu is the one you have routed in for that track.

ok when i go to vst connections, for the inputs, under bus name "stereo in" then under audio device it says "m audio usb asio" then under device port it says " line in 1 fast track pro, line 2 fast track pro" ..... then on the track menu, yes it does say stereo in and out .... but still doesnt record ... ?

what do my settings for the mpc have to be at? cause i noticed cubase only hears the sound when when i have the midi channel turned on 1a. i noticed in videos online that their midi is off but have midi cords connected to their interface? think that could be my problem?

all midi does is make sure that when you press play on the mpc it plays Cubase so you can record in sync. it should not impact the audio at all. When you press record in Cubase is the mpc playing?

all this time i thought it did, but the mpc doesnt play when i hit record? maybe while foolin around with it i turned something off ... but let me telll you my sync settings .... when i click, transport, i got to "project sync. setup" then under timecord source, "internal time code is clicked" then on midi timecode destination, "fast track midio out is checked " along with midi timecode follws project time. then under midi clock destinations, "fst midi out is check " under that Midi track follws project posistion, always send start message and send midi clock in stop mode, are all checked

my fault, it does play, i switched around the midi cords, thats why it wasnt working for that second, but its still doesnt records the sounds ....
