Saving presets or programs?

So I'm using an akai mpk49, i couldn't find the forum so I'm posting in general. Basically i want to be able to control different plugins in logic studio like synths, and others, using all of the knobs and faders. I know how to assign each fader, but since I'm going to need to be switching back and fourth between saved presets, i need to know if i save them as a preset, or a program change. In the program change you can have 126 of them saved, presets you can have 16 or so. Should i save each template as a preset, and whenever i load up a different synth go to that preset? Or do i use the program changes. Sorry for the bad wording, its confusing me by just typing it. Thanks.

i would think they would give you more than 16 presets for all your instruments, have you tried looking on youtube at all?

maybe mpk program changes vs presets?

im pretty sure someone has an mpk here as well.

i think they also work similar to the mpd's and stuff too
