same sound souns diff. on diff. sets ?

i load the gong sound. sounds strong and here. then i load it on another set,same pad and it sounds like it lacks fatness and reverb. i checket the fx and they r the same. what is it?
i know that these r really beginner questions and i feel bad takin ur time but i really couldnt figure it out.

ps-- when saving a drum set- does the volume of each pad also get saved?

when saving a pgm all note pad settings are saved within. nothing else. sounds and seq are saved serperatly.
