Anybody familiar with MPC2XL synced to yamaha aw16g multitra

I'm have difficulty with syncing and tracking anybody have any appreciated advice?

i have the 16g and the 3000 but used to have the 2k.

Midi out from the 16g to the midi in of the 2kxl.
Then go to Midi/Sync menu in the 2kxl and it should have Sync IN on the left side. Just set it to the first thing it goes to(i forget). But it should work that way.

If i was down in the studio, it would be a little easier for me to tell you what to do.
