16 levels tuning question about length of sample

If you choose the tuning option it makes the samples longer or shorter depending on whether you pitched up or down. Is there a way to get around this or do you have to go to BPM or use the transpose sequence maybe.
It wuld be cool to be able to do harmonies with vocals etc

You can timestretch each of the sounds individually, but that's a lot of work.
