Sampling sounds from my PC

Whatsup guys,

I have connected the outs from my mbox to the ins my MPC1000. When i go to MODE + RECORD i don't hear any sound. I have checked with Digital and analog but nothing. What am i doing wrong?

make sure the gain is turned up .. also, make sure a signal is coming from those outputs.. and not only the monitor/speaker outputs.

Gain is turned up and MPC gives me no indication of signal.
The DB meter is not jumping.

Guess that's enough to say that there is no signal from the outputs?

that is what it sounds like to me... maybe try taking a line from one of the speaker outputs and running that into the mpc just because you know there is sound coming from that... that way you can make sure the mpc is not where the problem lies...

if that works, maybe check the routing in your computer to find out if the audio player or daw (the thing you are trying to sample from) is set up to the outputs you were actually trying to use.

I got it to work homie. I had 2 other jack cables laying around, once i connected these everything worked perfect.
