Sampling Vinyl

Sampling Vinyl

Hey, so I am going to buy an MPC but I don't have the money right now. I bought a turntable the "Jensen JTA-460 3-Speed"

I read some stuff about sampling vinyl and saw that you need a phono pre-amp? so would this turntable work with a phono pre amp? Also would i have to buy cables too? Does the turntable hook a cable up to the phono pre amp that runs into the MPC?

Would this turntable work with this pre amp? What cables are needed?

-Works as a stand-alone or connects to your home theater system
-RCA line-out jacks



two things quoted from the specs... it has line level output.... so you dont need a preamp.

you dont need the preamp in between the mpc and the record player like you posted above.... because that model turn table has it built in already.....

do a wikipedia search for phono preamp... it will explain to you what that does, what it is amplifying, and why you need them using record players. Then, go read the manual for the mpc model you are planning to buy... and see what type of inputs it has.
