When i record my drums they soiund good in my headphone when i do them , but whe i listened to them some of my drums are delayed , they seems chopped , is that normal 
didnt you just say that they sounded good? are you routing the stereo outs to a mixer after listening from the headphones?
you might want to consider "balanced " audio cables.
