Could any of you people with 512 megabytes on the MPC 4000 tell me how much recording time you get when recording 24 bit stereo. I make it about 7 minutes just by tryin yo work it out but is that right?

Rough rule of thumb: 16-bit 44k = 5 MB/minute mono, 10MB/min stereo. 24-bit takes 50% more space than 16-bit, so 1 minute = 7.5MB mono, 15MB stereo.
96k? Double it again!

hey thanks. so 24 bit at 96 khz takes up 30 mb every minute in stereo. Just seen you were in dublin.
