4000 fresh out of box - no analog output signal

hey i just hooked my mpc 4000 up to my console fresh out of the box and cant figure out where or if i need to tell it to send all the audio out of the 1/4" outputs. this might sound stupid but im not getting any signal and i dont even know where i would start with this manual right now.

check the main volume - sounds stupid but the amount of times I do it per week is!

you need to sample sounds. I dont think you have any sounds loaded.

it turned out to be my digital console not saving the patches correctly. thanks though.
