mpc 2000xl and digirack 003

I got the urge to get back into music....

Would I need extra equipment to multitrack the 8outputs from the mpc to the digi rack?

Or would I just hook them up and route them in pro tools...since it comes with it?

Yes, just hook them up.

The first four inputs have gain control, so you can set the appropriate recording level for each channel.

I think that the other four inputs have fixed gain, so you will have to see what level the MPC outputs come in at on those inputs, before knowing if you will need something else in between on those channels to set gain/level.

You can add more channels to the 003, with an 8 channel AD convertor over an ADAT Lightpipe connection, or 2 channel AD over an SPDIF connection, if you want to track more than 8 channels at a time.
