Getting Started

As of now I own a Numark TTUSB, it's been difficult to find a MPC that's in the $300-500 price range that would be compatible with the device. I don't plan on going too expensive because I'm a beginner. The MPC that looks the best is a MPC500 but it has gotten many returns and bad reviews. I'm stuck at a crossing I would appreciate the help.

Any MPC is as compatible with the turntable as any other MPC.

You plug the line level outputs of the turntable into the line level inputs of any MPC (except MPC Studio/Element, since they have no inputs, and you use a computer input).

Not sure what you mean by 'most compatible' with it?

You will get an MPC1000, MPC2000XL, maybe a cheap MPC2500, in that price range, as well as an MPC500.

Alright cool the USB ports threw me off with the MPC1000 and older models. Honestly I just wanted somebody to conform it and let me know I'm going the right path. One more question, my future setup I'm trying to do:
MPC1000,
Numark TTUSB,
Windows XP Desktop.

Will this be all I need for a simple setup?

The USB ports on the hardware MPCs are for attaching to a computer, to access the MPC card reader or hard drive from the computer, or in the case of the MPC4000, for attaching a keyboard or storage device (USB stick, hard drive, CDROM drive, floppy drive, etc.).

I do not believe that a hardware MPC USB port will allow connection to, and audio recording from, a USB turntable.
