The title says it all. I want to get a different JJ OS possibly the free one ( for learning purposes) or xl ( cause its bad ass ) so, yeah will it erase all my tunes if I switch?

No as lampdog sez, but at same time you need to know that not everything in projects are the same. So there will be a difference in your projects depending on what OS you choose.
