sequencing with keyboard

i have a fantom x keyboard and a mpc 2000 and a mackie mixer. i want the mpc 2000 to be the master and the rest slaves.every thing is recording find its just when i record to the mpc and switch tracks. the volume on each track goes up to its peak am i doing something wrong or is that how it works im kind of new at this. i will appreciate any help. thanks

Nope thats normal you will have to reset the volume in the mpc with velocity level on the screen. Also set the mpc to save all program changes and youll be str8

yo thanks! i have few questions 4 u. ill start with the 1st u said i should get my mpc to save all program changes i tried it and it did not work and also what is the right way to save on the mpc im not sure i tried and its not working. thanks for your help!!!
