I'm not sure whether what I'm trying to do here is correct, but

The aim was to be able to use MPC studio for live playing and also with Sonar for any recordings needed. But I would like to try and use the EzDrummer kit to play the pads live.
I'm yet to successfully update the MPC firmware, but I have updated every 64 bit driver , software that was available, so I'm thinking that my approach is wrong here.
The MPC has no trouble with the plugins supplied, but fails to recognise Ezdrummer, even though it appears when scanning for plugins. . . this may be just an Ezdrummer problem , not sure.
Ezdrummer works fine in Sonar, though
A variation on EzDrummer, called EzPlayer Pro, came in the Update package, so I installed it, and it works, kinda. . . but not if the MPC software is on, and even then, the MPC is reduced to a set of pads for Ezplayer pro . . the MPC hardware cant fully function without the software , which cant go because the soundcard , which is an M audio delta Audiophile 2496 (updated, too) cant allow both at once.
Also, when using the pads and Ezdrummer, I'd really like to adjust the sensitivity down , but I cant do that . . no software , no MPC . . just pads.

I hope that makes sense.

I know theres something wrong in how i'm approaching this, but if someone could explain if there is a correct way to acheive what i'm after, or that its not possible etc . . i'd be really appreciative . .

By the way the PC was new end of last year . . 3.0 gh dual core , 8 gig ram . . lots of everything necessary to do the job. .

any help would be greatly appreciated . . thanks
