Issues recording MPC Studio live through Ableton 9

I've been using a Scarlett 2i4 audio interface with my microKorg for a while now, and recently purchased the MPC Studio to record alongside the Korg. I can route the audio through the Scarlett so I can hear the MPC through my monitors at the same time as my Korg. Issue is, Ableton CANNOT seem to record the MPC as it plays - no matter what input/output settings I try.

If I can hear the MPC through the Scarlett, why cannot it not record the live track? Of course I can export any sequence out of the MPC, but want to be able to record live and not have to constantly be exporting files and importing them back into Ableton.

Any help would be much appreciated as I have tried everything I can think of and been browsing forums for weeks with no luck. I can record everything else the Scarlett has running through it just not the MPC!

Ableton Live 9
Scarlett 2i4 Interface
MPC Studio
microKorg
Mac OSX10.6.8

Because the sound is going out of the audio interface, not into it?

Thank you so much Simon for you quick response, I can now record live MPC through the plugin which is fantastic - one more question though; is there a way I can record the sequences I play back into Ableton? With the MPC plugin, all recording/sequencing is disabled, and I can purely record what I play, but not loop/sequence anything.
