Mpc500 not syncing with clip

Just bought a 500 off eBay and I think I may have been pumped ... Never used an Mpc before but I understand how it works , anyway when I record a simple kik in and record in a basic 4/4 kik the kicks are not syncing to the internal klick ..they are completely out ...there is no swing on it and there is no internal sync at all ..the quantise is set to 16,s but sound as if there is no quantise on and completely drifts ....any ideas ?

you need to give us more information. i dont understand what your trying to say.

do you have a kick sample in the mpc, and its not quantizing properly?
