Im going to sale my dj setup and get either a brand new mpc 1000 or a used mpc 2000 . Can somebody help me out cuz i know that the mpc 1000 doesnt have time stretching and is made for use with the computer through usb. The mpc 2000 uses zip disks which are better to me plus it has timestretching and zoning . I am not really trying to be on the computer too much anymore thats why im buying an mpc and not going to use reason as much. so help will be appreciated thanks.

If you want zoning, make sure the 2000 you get is a XL.

yo is it true that u need a lot of floppys to save one beat on the 2000 or 2000xl? thats what some guy said and that is a pain in the ass

Depends on the size of your samples.

I've been using more samples and more programs and that requires more disks. Now I'm getting a hard drive.

Soon you'll eventually want a zip drive or hard drive or both.

if you wanna stay away from the computer... get a 2000 XL

because if you get a regular 2000 you will have to manipulate wavs on the comp... and this is same with the 1000...
