cabling (4 midi cables)

hook the midi out 1 of the midisport to the midi 1 in on the mpc and the out 1 of the mpc to the midisport in 1. (your mpc and computer now communicate) the hook the motif out to the mpc midi in 2 and the midi out 2 of the mpc to the motif.

midisport (usb????)

hook that to the usb of the mac. Open the cd and install the software that came with the midiman....

M-Box (usb to computer)

the protools cd has a program called OMS inside which you need to install.
once it's installed, run the oms setup so that the computer sees the midiman interface... you'll just need to tick on PORT 1 so that it knows something is hooked to the midi port one of the midisport.

Then name it mpc.

In protools you should now be able to see in the midi track MPC.....

In the sync options set it to send midi time code or midi clock to the mpc.
and in the sync page of the mpc set it to receive midi time code or midi clock... there you go

it is on the protools disk... are you using os9 or osx... if you don't have
oms there should be a program in the midisport cd that does the same
thing....
