ok. i have an mpc 2000xl and an e-mu proteus 2000 sound module. when i do beats, i save the files on the mpc and then i name a "patch" on the proteus. or sometimes i just name a particular track on a sequence in the mpc whatever i used in the moduke. for example, track 2 might be named "prc: hats 2" because that's what i used via midi from the sound module for that particular sequence. when i turn the module back on at a later date...i know to make track 2 "prc:hats 2". BUT....i heard you can save files on the mpc so that it remembers the particular sound you used and you don't have to manually find the sound in the module. is this true? i hope that's clear...i tried.

What up Knuckles,
Yeah you can save the information on to a file on the mpc. And when you load the file up on the MPC it will automatically recall the information or your set up on the Proteus. This question has been asked and answered a bunch of times. I actually asked the exact same question myself. Just do a search and you will find your answere.
