Are there any advantages to sequencing MIDI using an MPC 2500, as opposed to getting a MIDI Interface and sequencing in a DAW? I eventually want to record the sequence to audio and if I had a multichannel audio interface also, couldn't I just sequence multiple external synths using the DAW and when I got ready to record to audio, I could record multiple devices at once on their own channel in the DAW?
The MPC can only record 1 AUDIO source at a time, correct? No multichannel type recording on the MPC?
So what are, if any, advantages to MIDI sequencing then bouncing to audio, using only the MPC 2500?
Would a pad controller (MPD) + MIDI interface + Audio Interface, be better for this type of workflow?
