Using MPC Element within Ableton 9

I recently purchased the MPC Element to get into beat making, but I'm having trouble using it with Ableton. I have installed and registered MPC essentials, but I do not see how I can use Ableton as a master. I am able to record fine into Essentials, but it's not my preferred DAW.

I have looked around and was unable to find any help. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

BTW I am using it via a USB connection rather than MIDI (as I have to midi connection within my pc.
