live drum kit recording and playback

Someone recommended an MPC for something, can you tell me if it's the right tool? If so, which model?

I want to record samples live in a club using a mic to make a drum kit. And then I want to play the drums back via MIDI with a sequencer. 10-voice polyphony would be great. An individual out for each sample would also be great, because then I can mix and process the drums individually. And finally, I don't want to use a laptop.

I don't really need the finger pads, but they aren't necessarily a problem.

all the regular MPCs (100, 2500, 2000, 3000, 60 etc.) can do what you want. they are all samplers with midi sequencers.
