Chopping on a 2000 (zone)

ok , When i got my mpc i tough i could only chop by using trim and loading back the same sound many times . I am trying to figure out how to chop with zone and making chop out of a sample.Can someone explain me how to chop with zone and how to assign new sample to pads ?

Go into zone edit and selet your area.(Make sure it says zone in the upper right where it has >play x.)Now push edit and it'll say zone >new sample.Go down to sound name and enter the name of your sample.THen hit enter to enter the name.Once it processes go back to pad assign(shift+6).Hit the pad where you want the new sample and where it says Snd-scroll through and find the new sound name and there it is.

thanks alot man ! Is it possible to assign different tuning to samples and saving them , each time i assign a tuning to a sample , when i assisng a different tuning to another sample , i dont save my first setting.

Won't happen on the 2K.I think the 4k and 1k will but i'm not 100% sure.
