Linn 9000

How's the Linn 9000 samplin sounds like?
Is it good drum machine for sequence? Can it compare to MPC60 and MPC3000?
Where is different between 8bit and 12bit?

P.S. I love Mid 90's hip-hop feel.

It's a classic box, but i doubt anybody will pick it over an mpc60 or 3000.
Actually, i think akai took over the linn project and used it as the basis for the mpc60.
I have some sounds from a linndrum LM2, they sound good to me but it's not a very big soundset to work with.
