i usually do that each separately play the whole beat in song mode with all the other tracks muted. it’s very tedious that’s why i rarely do it. if you have suggestions on a better one? im all for it if the price is right. ill send this audio interface back. it came from the amazon warehouse anyways. lol

This picture makes me want to toss my eie pro out of my 2 story apt kitchen window. :WTF:

saltmcgault wrote:@pk1 if that’s the case the electric current running through my apt is one giant **** dirt ball! the eie pro snap crackles and pops more than a bowl of rice crispies lately. Thanks for the info bro! out of the 3 interfaces you mentioned which one would you lean towards the most?

The AKAI EIE Pro's are known to have pops and distortion issue. It's the unit, the best thing you can do it buy another interface. While looking around take a listen to the Steinberg UR-RT2 or UR-RT4 they have Rupert Neve Transformer inside, which sound great on music and for the price the noise floor is nice. However this all depends on your input/output needs.

As for your electricity look into Furman M-8X2 Merit Series 8 Outlet Power Conditioner.

I was also going to suggest a power conditioner.
This is the one I use.

I had helped a younger friend with purchasing a Presounus bundle and he loved it.
As he got better he wished he had more inputs/outputs. He got busy making beats and raps, sold some beats, finally got himself a smaller RME. I’ve never seen someone so happy. It’s super expensive but maaaaaan, you get what you pay for. ROCK SOLID.

RME also has an ios app that shows the interface on ipad same as on computer and fully controllable bluetooth or wifi (wifi on the same network as computer with audio interface is connected).

Nah man, don’t throw anything out, return if you can or sell, add loot and get something else, lol. But I KNOW that feeling of throwing shit off the side of a ship. Sitting at the bottom of South China Sea somewhere.

i just got the presonus studio26 4channel interface in the mail today and that thing is getting returned tomorrow!! i’m going to try and sell the eie pro. i’m going to just buy the Presonus Audio Interface, Studio 1824-8 Mic Pres (1824). i do have a power conditioner a firman M-8x2. so many fuses blown up in this apartment i wouldn’t plug any of my shit in here with some type of protection! yea and your set up is DOPE!! :worthy: i have a 2500 i want to get a 2000 just because i’ve always admired the older mpc’s. i’m definitely going to invest long term for rme’s. the neverending quest for the perfect setup it’s keeps me going.

You can always find good quality & cheaper, just gotta search it out.
I wanted something that could handle all my gear at the drop of a dime and it has
never broken a sweat. My experiment when I initially got it was buffer at 96 samples, 8 tracks, 1-3 fx each, 48/24 and not a single hiccup. I’ve done more than that many times and still never had a problem. It’s going to my grave with me.

Triton Extreme is connected 2chnl optical SPIDF.
4k is 8chnl optical adat.
emu turbo phatt is connected 6chnl analog.
ipad is connected 2chnl analog front inputs.

i had a chance to buy my friends triton back from the pawnshop until he had the money to buy it back from me.. which probably wouldn't have happened and i slept on it. $200 was all he got for it. I hate typing about that opportunity. i'm not sure which interface presonus or focurite but going with 8 inputs for sure. i might have to get that stand for the 2500 as well.

On-Stage Mix-400 Audio Mixer Stand
is what it's called.

I'd prefer Focusrite over Presonus but both are good choices.
Tascam and Roland make good interfaces too.

Tascam just announced the Model 24. Have no idea what it sounds like but with all the gear you are picking up. You're going to need some kind of external mixer.

Mixer porn right there.

I read up on it. This thing is a BEAST of a mixer/interface! If you have the budget and looking for hands on control this would be the thing to get. Always make sure you can return it if it's not what you want.
