say i got a zip disk with hundreds or maybe thousands, (lets just say that the disk is full) of sounds, i want to find a particular one, and i know the name of that sound, is there a way to get to that sound faster than using the weel to go through ALL the sounds to find it?

instead of scrolling through all of them, jsut use the .wav or .snd to find them.
I use an xk, u should specify what mpc you use and give everyone a chance to help you if they have that mpc you know what I'm saying.

in the xl manual pg 17 see where it says VIEW:ALL FILES.
You can higlight that and choose the extensions of the exact files
you want to scroll through.

That's the only shortcut on the xl for what you are asking.
