Hi, another noob here! Right, I got my MPC the other day and I was loading stuff up fine on my friends laptop (XP) , the problem is I have win98 and I want to get stuff on it form my pc, I know you can get card readers but I'm not going to be able to get one for at least a week since I splashed out on the MPC already! Just wondering if any drivers exist or will any USB mass storage driver work?
There are no drivers nicely marked "MPC1000 Windows 98", ready to use.
I suggested this before on the MPC1000 forum, but I stopped using Win98 5+ years ago, I have no way to test this:
- the MPC1000's reader follows the "USB Mass Storage" standard.
- most CF Card readers follow the same standard.
- for some CF Card readers, you can download Windows 98 drivers.
So, if I search Google for a Windows 98 driver for a USB Mass Storage device, how about :
