Old MPCs - Worth the Risk?

Hey so I bought a 500 as my first MPC and it has some weird bug where the samples randomly start cutting off when I hit certain pads. It's nothing to do with mute groups or sample length or whatever - the thing is just screwed and it makes the machine more or less useless. I want to buy a bigger better MPC but I'm just concerned that the older ones really are pretty damn old and so there's a pretty high risk of them dying or getting dementia like my current one. I want to get one that I can use every day for many years to come. What do you guys reckon - safe to get like a 2500 or something or would I be better off paying the extra and getting an MPC Live?

Unless you’re into tracking out and have a sound card to do so, I’d say go with a live.
