Im sure this has been talked about before. I tried searching for it but i could not find what i was looking for.

Anyways I have read that there is Software out for MACs that can help you with sampling. I have an MPC 2000XL and a MAC G4 laptop. I want to use the MAC and the MPC together for sampling. I would like to sample a melody from a record chop it up precisely using the Software on the MAC and dump into the MPC. I would like to see the SW help me find out the BPM/Tempo for the melody so I could match it with the drum lines tempo on the MPC easier.

What SW exists to help me do this? Thanks!

Why don't you use the tap tempo and then enter the BPM?

Two things:

1) When I meant download the SW i meant a free site that you can download the SW. Does anyone know where you can get Recycle for MAC OS V10.

2) Can you explain more about the Tap tempo idea. I was taught one way to mix the Sample on the MPC by using Tune in Params. You make your Drum pattern then play the sample over the drum pattern and use tune to match it to the Drum pattern tempo. Is there an easier way with Recycle or Tap Tempo? I want Recycle to help me find the BPM on the sample so I dont have to use Tune in Params on the MPC.

Please help thanks!

Just to clarify, are you asking for a site that has a cracked version of ReCycle for you to dl?

The tap tempo feature works like this, highlight the tempo, load a sample into the MPC and hit the pad, now tap the TAP TEMPO button(imagine that) along with the sample, you have rhythm right? You'll get a basic idea of the tempo, there's a way to make it more accurate but I don't wanna spoil all the fun of learnin for ya.

coocoo you can spoil the fun for me cause I want to know how to do it proper. Yes I got Rhythm for sure.....

I know SW costs money but there is sites out there where you can download SW for free. I was just wondering if anyone knew of one specific to music SW. I know KAZA has shit there but i was wondering if there were others.
