Which DJ mixer should i get?

Just wondering what kind of mixers yall rockin wit.

My goal is just really to have a mixer that i can use to connect to the MPC for sampling

Not doing any DMC tricks or nuthin

* Please list model / manfuc. if possible

Feel free to tell me why you rockin wit the mixer you got, its the best on the market, what u can afford, or whatever.

I recently bought the Vestax PMC 05 Pro II for 3 bills from GC.....VERY CLEAN sound coming from it...I also have a Gemini and an American Pro....Both VERY CHEAP in price, and HORRIBLE sound quality coming through...so it's not like I'm hyping it up vs not having used other mixers...

With the Vestax, you also have a treble and bass control...so you can record your samples however you feel....at 3 bills, its a steal, compared to the price when they first dropped about many years ago...My homie has had his since 96, and just barely took it in for repairs.....He's a wax spinning junkie, so he does lots of crazy shcit with it.....The piece is solid man...I've never heard any complaints from anyone who has had one......

How much are you willing to spend? If you're sampling from records Rane, and Ecler have the best sound quality...I have a Rane 56, its built like a tank and has far better sound quality than vestax, gemni and many other dj mixer brands...You can get a 56 for 650 but they also have a 52 and 54 which are a lot cheaper...

I'm willing to spend no more than $300 bills, that's on the real

thouse new numarks are 24bit. they sound pretty good.

these each have diff purposes. the first one i think has effects, the second has a good eq and spectrum analyzier, and the 3rd has real low sub response to make tracks knock.
they vary in price.

I think that the vestax 05 is your best bet . They are real stable and have a very nice sound quality. It is 299 new at GC. Id say get that and dont take your chances on other mixers that can be less expensive but wack. Plus the vestax mixers last for a pretty long time..

my vestax o5 proII has seen gigs, scratching, juggling, dust, shrub smoke, and dog hair. Ive had it two plus years of using it da/\/\n near every day. the volume faders are a little crackly but the crossfader sounds new still and i bought it used. i love this mixer really and i love my pdx's.
i would buy a rane for fun but the prices are pretty high. even if i bought a rane i would keep my trusty 05. if you just want one for sampling only think about the pmc 03 its real simple and sounds as well as the other vestax i assume. the crossfader in the 05 pro for me can do no wriong...

Man, Vestax Mixers sound awful IMHO. The Tascam is a sick mixer for sure, sounds loads better than the O5 II and you can pick them up in the states for about $150 which is a steal at that price.

lmao....its hard for me to hear that "awfulness" when I don't hear it at all....I hear my records being played.......

A Rane or Ecler sounds better to me than a Vestax. I've heard both the Vestax 05, and the Rane TTm-56i trough the same soundsystem, and the Rane blew away the Vestax.
I have an Ecler mixer myself, that's a little better than Vestax but not as good as that Rane.

what about the fader? thats all that im caring about w/ a dj mixer.

whoops i read the title and it said dj mixer he wants one to sample. blahblahblah....

if u are trying to sample go digiital which the vestax does not offer with the pm 05 ( i got one and its real tight to dj with but it dont have things like a send and return or digi outs etc....) thouse numarks are tight cuase they are 24bit. so u will get a nice clean signal. the one iwth the effects or the eq and spectrem analyser are the ones i would cop for sampling.
