Hey all,
Lifelong drummer here who got his first electric kit and DAW a year ago. My buddy I was in a high school band with creates guitar parts and shoots them my way, then I record drums for it. Lots of fun!
Utilizing midi though has me now curious about creating my own music using a synth and midi controller. Looking at the Akai mini 3 that just came out.
This being said, it has a keyboard on it, and I don't know where to start with synth. When creating parts on a synth, do most people just play notes (A,B,C,D,E,F,G), or do they play whole chords?
Is there a good tutorial on how to learn chords within a key, or anything along these lines? Sure wish I had taken piano lessons growing up
