Ive decided to commit to putting together a hobby studio in the House after playing with an xr20 i got on the cheap. I have some.questions to ask.

1. Im going to use an akai studio black and an ableton push live. What laptop would you suggest to run both smoothly and not bankrupt me. Im looking for the most mid range laptop. Not expensive yet not cheap either.

2. I watched a video where serato software was able to isolate and extract instruments from a loop a d assign them to pads on a controller. Is there comparable software/features from an akai device that accomplish the same as easy?

Thanks for the help

1. second hand macbook pro with an ssd and at least 8 gig of ram. 2015 model might be fair priced.
2. doubtfull that you can extract instruments from loops without having it sounds muffled up or underwater. However, you can chop up loops or recorded audio to your liking and re-arrange them. You can do this in ableton and in standalone mpcs. akai studio black is not a standalone mpc.
