I'm not sure what you're arguing for man... Watching your video in slow motion... it looks like the sequencer is working properly to me.

I agree, the beat sounds whack... but I don't think it is the MPC's fault.

I tapped my finger in 4/4 to the count of the main menu bar/tick count.
And you are off beat.

Do you use metronome when recording?

Sounds like you are recording with TC off, no audible metronome for you to follow and your human timing is off. The problem is you from what I see in the video.

Many people suggest TC off when recording and for the uninitiated that is “brutal jump into the deep end not knowing how to swim” advice. It’s correct in a sense that you need to learn to swim.

Turn on your TC/metronome to 1/16 so you can hear it and tap your feet while making that pattern.

You are playing faster than the sequencer’s metronome is going.

More advice, your beat is not built for 120bpm. You can make that same beat in 90-100 using 1/16 TC imo. Do that and afterwards speed up your bpm to your liking.

Record to a slower tempo in 1/16, raise it later.
