lifes not the same when my mpc isnt right

my pad bank key isnt moving, its constantly on "A" no matter how many times i try to change it. Also the full level button isnt working (it doesnt even light up) but my 16 level button is working just fine. Is there anything im doing wrong? This is my first mpc and ive benn re-reading manual all afternoon to see if im the one messing up, but all i got is headache and no pad bank or full level buttom. If you could help it will be greatly appreciated.
