Hi

As far as I can tell - the link below is the only official AKAI forum for this stuff?
See the forum link under the picture in the text...

https://www.akaipro.com/force-academy

But it won't work for me?:

I follow the link to...

https://forum.akaipro.com/login

yet it won't let me log in... nor does it give any option to register/join?

I went back to the start page here - and logged in just fine - shows my product and registered software etc....

https://www.akaipro.com/customer/account/login/

And yet after I log in - if you go to Products, then click on Force....

https://www.akaipro.com/force-forcexus

Scroll down like halfway or more to the same link at the start

https://www.akaipro.com/force-academy

Then again - click on the forum link - and the circle is complete...

it seems to be only the actual log in page which is the only page that won't acknowledge that I'm already signed in - all the other pages do show me as signed in?

Can someone help me out here please?

PS - does anyone know a DIRECT email address for tech support and phone number for Australia Tech Support - and or phone numbers for other countries as well in case ours doesn't work or exist? I can use VOIP. If you can - please include the days/times and time zone they are open?

I've seen the official 'portal of death' the only place I could find to ask a question/contact and it's a horrendous process - wants way to much info just for what you need - treats you like you want a warranty refund or something - serial numbers, phone numbers etc... just wrong.

it's here
https://www.akaipro.com/support

It looks like only a few boxes - but it expands and multiplies once you start entering stuff... it's just plain excessive. They just don't want you to bother them - clearly! No live chat either right?

cheers

Akai shut down their main forum a while back (years of tech support info gone overnight) and I suspect they were going to use this 'forum.akai' one instead but clearly not happened yet. That forum is now purely for beta testers and is invite only and they shouldn't be linking to it.

As for support, if you expect live chat you are in for a rude awakening :) Can't help you with phone numbers, I believe what you see on their support page is what you can use. Phone is definitely the best way to get a response, email is challenging apparently, not sure if this is a covid thing but there's plenty of topics on this forum about slow email response times. I think they ask a lot of info so they can reduce the amount of back and forth.

But they need to sort out their tech support department rather than rely on forums and social media to deal with support for them.

Hi again

Are you saying it's easier to contact them via a PM on facebook or something?

If they don't really have an official forum for the MPK MINI - can you suggest any other good forums for that in particular? And - also - just good forums for this kind of stuff in general (similar products to that)?

thanks

No, I'm saying they seem to be relying on their own customers to provide support for their products via social media and forums like this. Akai clearly sort out their tech support department as it seems completely disorganised and unsuitable for the technical nature of the products they sell, i.e. a proper ticketing system, live chat, forum, responsive social media support etc.

Nothing specific, you could also look at gearspace.com for plenty of people who might use a controller like an MPK.
