hello,

i'm going to buy an MPC 2000XL, and it seems to be in a good condition. but are there some things i really have to check? (like the pads) is there a way to check if its a good MPC?

thx

there is a program inside the mpc that u can run that lets u test the pads, search this forum for hidden screens, i believe u hold shift/trim from the main screen and than u hit shift/f1....and i believe in there, there's a way to test the pads.......good luck

Make sure it has the memory the seller claims. It would be kinda dumb to pay for an MPC that is claimed to have 32Mb installed when it only has 2Mb.
Also test the internal drive. Check you can save / load data.
I f you can check it ,make sure the SCSI port functions well (a blown SCSI fuse has to be replaced by a technical repair center).
Make sure the variation slider works.
