External Zip Drive (2KXL)

I just got a 2000XL and it came with a 100MB external zip drive. Ive never worked with a zip drive and have a few problems.
My computer doesnt have a zip drive so how do i get samples from my computer onto a zip disk.
Also i tried connecting the zip drive to the MPC but it says it hasnt been connected. Im not sure if there may be a fault with the drive because the disks are getting stuck in there.

I sorted out the original prblem its now working fine with the mpc but i cant get my computer to recognise the drive. It hasnt got the original cable but its got a cable which i would of thought would work, any ideas?

External SCSI zip correct?

You are trying to connect that same SCSI zip to the computer correct?

You formatted the zip in your MPC2kxl correct?
Your computer won't be able to read that MPC formatted zip disk.
