First off let me say that it's kick ass to see a site like this... yeah I am a newbie! I am not new to producing but I am new to the MPC. I have a 2000xl on it's way - should be here tomorrow.

I have the MPC Editor and I have been creating pgm's for it... I have a friend who lives in BK NY - he wants to trade sounds... he has a 2000 (I have a 2000xl) - So My Question is...

What are the formats? does the 2000xl read .wav? .snd? BOTH? either or...

and what does the 2000 read?

I need to know so when i am creating sounds and editing them in wave lab etc. I can save either or both formats for my manz.

simple I know... but I am new to the MPC and my friend doesn't know cause he is still analog... lol...

Thanks in advanced too!

They can both read snd AND wav. You should be fine.

PG 111 XL manual can tell you more man. Check my signature link for the download site of the manual if you haven't downloaded it already. Everything you read, press those same buttons and open window on everything you highlight, you'll find alot of stuff before you even think of asking production ideas will overflowin in your head once you take notice of all these functions and features.
