Hi,

I just got my new MPC Live 2 and I'm lovin it so far.

I'd like to connect my hardware synths to the MPC. I've got it working with the MIDI connection and the USB connection.  However, my normal setup has the synths all connected to my computer via a MOTU express 128. So I was hoping to use the USB ports for the MPC so I can keep out all wired up.

One of the synths - mother 32 only has one MIDI port and no USB option.
Should I get a midi splitter cable so the mother 32 gets midi from the computer as well as midi from the THRU port of another synth connected via USB to the MPC?

Any ideas on how to achieve this setup and overall is it a good method?

Thanks!!!

Welcome.

I also had this same thing happen with my old midi 5din plug. I bought this in the link. Problems solved!

I also purchase a multi port, powered USB 3.0 HUB. Connected the hub to MPC and all other usb midi to that hub, my mpc x sees and uses all the midi gear perfectly fine.
