Thanks for the forum, finding it really informative.

I was looking to use an MPC as a standalone sound module/ workstation alongside a kawai digital piano I already have. Not looking at present to hook upto a PC on a regular basis.

I have limited space in my office/ studio hence considering the MPC rather than another keyboard synth.

Are the sounds in the MPC Keys as standard, supplied in the One and the Live Mkii?

Out of the One and Live, is there a difference in the No of plugins that are free with the latest firmware?

Is there any restrictions in terms of synth plugins with the One over the Live I should be considering?

Thanks in advance for your help, with my newbie questions.

All the free plugins such as Tubesynth, Drumsynth, Electric, Odyssey etc are included in all models. Premium plugins are only included in the MPC Key, but not all of them (it doesn't have the Mini D for example).

In terms of included plugins, the One and Live Mk 2 are the same and performance is identical, they have the same CPU, same memory.

Additionally each MPC comes with its own unique factory drum kits and instruments, these are all sample based.

You can of course add more sounds by purchasing instruments and kits from sites such as mine at https://www.mpc-samples.com/section.php ... xpansions/

If you are deciding between the One and the Live 2, pick it based on the hardware differences.
