Saving question

Hello all of you...

I recently got my MPC2000XL, love working with it, but I simply don't know how to save.
My MPC got a floppy station.
I made a beat, but what can I do to make sure I can just continue working on my beat the next day?
What saving option should I choose? and what do I have to save? and...?

I also have a laptop with USB, how can I use that to save my things?

Shift> Save will bring up your save options

Then save All programs & Sounds (Thats so you sounds will reload)
Next....
Save you Sequence/ All Sequences & Songs (So you works will load up where u left off last)

Be sure to name/label files accordingly...Good house keeping will save you loads of time. (Especially when it comes to reloading )

P.S.....Spend time in front of the MPC with your manual at hand for long periods of time and experiment. Nothing beats doing/seeing it live.

It would also be wise to get a bigger storage device -- Zip Drive is minimum standard these days. You can either have 1 fitted internally or purchase an external one. Sizes to consider...100Mb upto 750Mb
