I am using a sample from the beginning of "True Colors" by Cyndi Lauper. I chopped it and assigned it to a new program, no problem. The thing I'd like to understand is that, the samples won't play in parallel. I want the drum sample playing the same time as the vocals. But whenever a sample is triggered, it cuts off the previous sample that was playing.

I'm not sure how to play chopped samples from the same sample simultaneously.

Thanks!!

PROGRAM
GLOBAL
Left side of the screen
Change MONO to POLY.

Same thing on the right side of the screen for the pad itself, MONO to POLY.

The issue you're encountering is likely due to the way your sampler is handling polyphony. Polyphony refers to the ability of a sampler to play multiple samples simultaneously. Some samplers have limited polyphony, which means they can only play a certain number of samples at once. In this case, when you trigger a new sample, it cuts off the previous sample because the sampler has reached its maximum polyphony limit.
